Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine on European integration Olena zerkal has discussed in a meeting Thursday with Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of Lithuania Darius Spawacza preparation for the Fifth summit of the EU initiative "Eastern partnership", which will take place on 24 November this year in Brussels, in particular the modality of its final Declaration.

The sides also touched upon the question of the outcome of the next round of consultations EU-Ukraine on the legal consequences of the temporary occupation of Crimea, held on 17 October in Brussels.

Brusewitz discussed the issues of further promotion of the initiative "the New European plan for Ukraine for 2017-2020 gg", adopted by the parliamentary committees of the Seimas in March of this year, and preparations for the next meeting of the standing Ukrainian-Lithuanian Commission for European integration.
"The position of Lithuania in support of Ukraine remains unchanged," - said D. Brusewitz during the meeting.

Eastern partnership - the EU-funded project, with the primary stated aim of development of integration relations of the EU with six former Soviet countries: Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Belarus.
