Ukraine since the beginning launched on 7 November 2018 season of gas withdrawal from underground storages (UGS) to February 9, 2019, reduced the inventory they 37.9% (6 billion 521.23 million cubic meters) – up to 10 billion 673,73 million cubic meters, according to data of JSC "Ukrtransgaz".

7-30 November of UGS raised 1 billion 73,56 million cubic meters of gas (44,73 cu. m/day) 1 to 31 December – 2 billion 245,84 million cubic meters of gas (72,45 million cubic meters/day), 1-31 Jan – 2 billion 700,9 (87,13 million cubic meters), 1-9 Feb – 499,71 million cubic meters (55,52 million cubic meters), including 2 Feb – 60,94 million cubic meters.

The selection of gas from storage a year ago – on 9 February 2018 – was at 83.75 million cubic meters in reserves of 11 billion 758,97 million cubic meters, two years ago 89,11 million cubic meters with reserves of 9 billion 222,83 million cubic meters, three years ago – 54,43 million cubic meters with reserves of 10 billion 697,46 million cubic metres four years ago – 57,34 million cubic meters with reserves of 8 billion 846,35 million cubic meters.

As reported, in 2018 the total selection of gas from storage exceeded his fix by 0.82 billion cubic meters, while in 2017, the download exceeded selection on 2,733 billion cubic meters.

In General, in the past year, the highest monthly withdrawals from storage facilities were recorded in February (2 billion 529,39 million cubic meters, or 90,34 million cubic meters/day), and the highest monthly fix – in August (1 billion 801,4 million cubic meters, or 58,11 million cubic meters/day).

Ukrtransgaz, 100% owned by NJSC "Naftogaz of Ukraine", operates a system of trunk pipelines and 12 underground gas storages of the country with a total capacity of 31 billion cubic meters.
