The Commissioner for human rights under the President of Ukraine tried unsuccessfully to contact his Russian counterpart.
Russian Ombudsman does not communicate, - Denisova
Russian Commissioner for human rights Tatyana Moskalkova not contacted. This was the Ukrainian Ombudsman Lyudmila Denisova said on the air of "Gromadska telebachennya", informs mediaUA.
"She does not contact. Maybe she didn't get any instructions. I have been in contact, but they (the Russian side – ed.) do not go," said Denisov.
According to her, now there is very conflicting information about the Ukrainian sailors seized by Russia in the Kerch Strait the courts. Ukraine can't manage to get in touch with them, so there is no data about their location and condition.

The Ukrainian Navy has published legal commentary, pointing out that in accordance with articles 17, 38 of the UN Convention on the law of the sea and article 2 of the Agreement between Ukraine and the Russian Federation on cooperation in using the Azov sea and the Kerch Strait, military ships of Ukraine enjoy freedom of navigation in the Kerch Strait and sea of Azov, and this means that they can make a passage across the Kerch Strait at any time, subject to safety of navigation.
At the meeting of the Council decided to recommend to introduce in Ukraine martial law for a period of two months. It must support the MPs. An extraordinary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada appointed on 26 November at 16:00.
