The President of the European Parliament Antonio Tajani said Thursday in an interview with Spanish radio station, Cadena cope, that no country of Europe does not recognize the independence of Catalonia from Spain.

"The leadership of the Catalan is not necessary to declare the independence (of Catalonia from Spain. - Ed.) because no one is interested in its independence, no one in Europe does not recognize an independent Catalonia. No one will help the leadership of Catalonia, if she goes that way," said Mr. Tajani.
The head of the European Parliament also stressed that the issue of the independence of Catalonia is a Spanish and not a European problem. A. Tajani called on to settle disputes between Madrid and Barcelona on the basis of the laws and Constitution of the country.

Earlier, the head of Generalitat Catalonia Carles Pujdeme once again ignored the request of the Prime Minister of Spain, Mariano Rajoy to answer the question, whether he proclaimed the independence of Catalonia from Spain.
In his letter Thursday, he confirmed the suspension of the Declaration of independence, and stated that he intends to declare the independence of Catalonia from Spain, if Madrid refuses to dialogue on this issue.
