Police found that the criminal group consisted of three people - a 26-year-old organizer and two of his accomplices 27 and 29 years old. Attackers organized scheme to steal money from card accounts of citizens through the compromise of cards using skimming devices.

Thus, two of the members of the criminal group, for permanent and unhindered access to the POS terminals were temporarily employed at various food establishments and retail trade on the territory of Dnipropetrovsk region. Then masked set of skimming device and, in the process paying citizens services through POS terminals, received from the payment card sensitive information.

Cards compromised was carried out using computer technology and various of plastic cards, including so-called "white plastic".
