The customs value of the imported goods to Ukraine in January-August 2018 increased in comparison with the same period of 2017 15.8% to $32 billion, while the volume of imports by weight – 3.7%, to 42.5 million tons.

This writes Interfax-Ukraine with reference to the State fiscal service, reports Biznestsentr.
"Since the beginning of the year customs duties on imports amounted to $8.4 billion UAH. This is 15% higher than last year", – stated in the message.
While the tax burden per unit weight of the taxable imports grew during this period by 11.8% – to 5.28 UAH/kg.

As noted by the GFS, the main revenue generating goods are oil and oil products, accounting for 49.9 billion, oil gas – 15 billion UAH, cars – UAH 13.4 billion, coal – UAH 10.3 bn, insecticides and fungicides – UAH 4.1 bn, as well as phones – 3.1 billion UAH and mineral fertilizers – 2.9 billion UAH.
At the same time in August this year, GFS notes a General increase in the tax burden on importation of goods in containers on a number of products: cotton – by 47.4%, synthetic and artificial fabrics – by 33.4%, toys – 20.5%, stitched textile materials – 14.1%.
