The President of the United States Donald trump has postponed the introduction of import duties on steel and aluminium for the European Union, Canada and Mexico and several other countries until 1 June.

The decision was made a few hours before the deadline, according to which the duty was to take effect at 12:01 (7:01 Kiev time) on Tuesday, may 1.
The white house announced that details of agreements with Brazil, Argentina and Australia will be completed soon, but did not disclose terms.
"The administration is also pursuing negotiations with Canada, Mexico and the European Union over the next 30 days. In all these negotiations the administration is focused on quotas, which will curb imports, to prevent overload and to protect national security", – noted in the White house.
We will remind that in March the administration of the tramp led a fee at the rate of 25% for steel and 10% aluminum in China, Russia and Japan, but temporarily postponed the imposition of additional duties for the EU, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Australia and Argentina.
