The city Council has decided to extend the lease agreement with CHP "Kyivenergo" before the end of July

The decision was supported by 71 MP, voted against 14, abstentions one member Biznestsentr reports with reference to Interfax-Ukraine.

Initially, the draft decision provided for the extension of the agreement until June 30, however, during the discussion, it was proposed to leave the CHP and the plant "Energy" in use "Kyivenergo" until August 31.

"Required reserve time. Now we can't guarantee that the Commission (NKREKU – ed.) will work tomorrow or next week (for the operation of a CHP company "Kievteploenergo" license is required NKREKU – ed.). Due to the technological necessity, I would ask you to consider the extension of contracts for CHPP-5, CHPP-6 and plant "Energy" until August 31", – said during the discussion of the draft decision, the Deputy head of the Kyiv city Administration Petr Panteleyev.

At the same time, city Council deputies did not support the extension of the contract for four months and proposed to extend it until the end of July.

"We will not be able to do that (iterate through the control of power plants and "Energy" – ed.) before the date specified in the draft decision. Two months (in addition to the two proposed in the draft decision) is an additional safety measure, but one month is a critical minimum", – said the Secretary of city Council Vladimir Prokopiv.

Panteleyev added that the city will move the management of CHP and plant before the expiration of the contract, if given the chance.
