Ukraine for the year climbed 16 positions in the ranking of economic freedom, ranking the 150th among 180 countries after the 166 seats in 2017.

This was reported in the study conducted by the analytical center at The Heritage Foundation (USA), Biznestsentr reports with reference to UNIAN.
According to experts, despite the increase, Ukraine occupies the last place among 44 countries in Europe, and its overall score is below the regional and averages.

Topped the rating of Hong Kong, Singapore, New Zealand, Switzerland, Australia and Ireland.
The level of freedom of the economies is based on the average parameters, including the freedom of business, trade, financial sector, investment, labor, monetary and fiscal freedom, security of property rights, the size of the bureaucracy and the degree of protection from corruption.
