Judicial reform in Ukraine takes place in close cooperation with the Council of Europe and the Venice Commission.


Judicial reform takes place in close cooperation with the European institutions, Poroshenko reports mediaUA with reference to the press service of the President, the Head of state stressed that the judicial reform in Ukraine takes place in close cooperation with the Council of Europe and the Venice Commission.
According to him, "the Venice Commission considered the draft laws (anti-corruption court. - Ed.) that is, in the Verkhovna Rada. Both she acknowledged as such, that is unacceptable for the implementation of judicial reform."
"I want to emphasize that the term "corruption court" appeared in my bill on judicial reform. Today I expect Parliament to draft the bill which will be acceptable and will be based on several essential principles. The bill must comply with the Constitution, claims sovereignty of Ukraine, to provide a completely transparent selection procedure and is completely effective candidates, which will cause the trust of the people and society," - said Poroshenko.
According to the President, if these requirements are met, it will take relevant developments in Parliament and introduce a bill that will be very quickly to consider.
"But in any case, I do not wish this process has stalled and that is why in the project budget (for the year 2018. - Ed.) at my insistence, already provided for the costs of the anti-corruption court", - said the President.
